Natural, interactive learning
100% healthy nursery
Located in rural Dorridge, just a short drive away from Solihull, our award-winning, Bentley Manor Nursery is situated on an impressive 13 acres of land. Previously a countryside Victorian villa, our premises has been cleverly converted to ensure that there is ample space for children up to 5 to learn, and thrive whilst in our care.
Whatever the weather, children are able to enjoy a range of stimulating activities outdoors in our extensive and secure gardens. Carefully crafted to reflect the seven areas of learning and development from the Early Years Foundation Stage, we value our garden as an extended classroom. Every day is an adventure at Bentley Manor where children are free to learn in a safe, happy and fun environment.

A Clean and Healthy Environment
The Nursery has six rooms which are split by age: Babies (3 months to 15 months), Tweenies 1 & 2 (15 months to 2 years), Tots 1 & 2 (2 to 3 years) and Preschool (3 years to 5 years). Each room offers an inclusive learning environment using natural resources to support discovery and exploration. Our meals are prepared to ensure that the children are offered a healthy and balanced diet.Lunch and tea menus are carefully planned in partnership with Robinsons’ Caterers, meeting nutritional guidelines and in conjunction with the Food For Life scheme. These balanced meals are prepared freshly each day with high quality, locally sourced ingredients.
We pride ourselves on only selecting the very best staff with a caring and compassionate nature. Our Nurseries are graduate led and supported by Early Years Professionals. At each stage, our children are allocated a Key Person who overviews their individual planning and assessments. This also helps to ensure that children receive the one-on-one care and attention that they deserve. Ofsted recognise that our staff provide consistently high standards of teaching and learning that are inspiring, demonstrating an excellent understanding of the areas of learning. They use this knowledge exceptionally well to form high expectations of themselves and the children which results in all children making outstanding progress in their learning and development.
Within each of the rooms the areas of continuous provision are available for the children to freely explore throughout the day, these areas include sand and water, creative areas, sensory tuff trays, construction area, mark making, cosy corners, play dough stations and large scale role play areas. The areas of the continuous provision are planned for based on the children’s interests and reflect their next steps in learning. Within our Tweenies unit the children have access to a physical play room which they explore using their gross motor skills. In the Manor House, we have a Sensory Room for each room to access, this provides a calm and relaxing space for the children to enjoy.
Bentley Manor has 13 acres of land which is used in all weathers. The children can be found in the mud kitchen “mixing potions” or becoming builders in the large scale sand pit, or using the open ended resources from the construction shed. Babies explore our barefoot walk in our sensory garden, and Preschool are building dens in our woodland school. We hold weekly Forest School sessions led by our Level 3 Forest school leader in these sessions the children’s confidence grows as they have the freedom to explore, take risks and discover in the natural environment. The children take ownership in the “grow your own zone”, by planting seasonal fruit and vegetables which are used in cooking activities and snack time.
Making use of our extensive facilities, we are delighted to offer a range of extra activities to our over two’s. This includes; Tennis on a Wednesday, Spanish on a Tuesday and Rugby on a Thursday. These extracurricular activities take place during nursery time and are open to all who wish to have a go at something new.
